LINC Technical Overview. Small project, involved rewriting a marketing brochure to current product specifications. CTOS (Unisys proprietary) word processing system used.

BEST Documentation. Project involved developing three simple user guides for a suite of software qualification tools. Input material was existing notes, interviews, and product trial. Managed project, created in Microsoft Word.

EXPRESS Documentation. Project manager for a large scale update of existing user documentation for this software developer's tool. Also created a new installation and administration guide, including user hints and tips, and online help for the product. Documentation in Microsoft Word.

Tait Electronics

TAIT 3010 and 3040 manuals. User manuals for Tait Electronics T3010 and T3040 handportable radios. Full project management and design of these manuals. Work completed in WordPerfect and Pagemaker.

TAIT Distributor's Software Manual and Help. User manual for Tait PGM3035 and PGM3040 software used by distributors to program radios. Also created online help files for program. Full project management. Work completed in WordPerfect.

Unisiys

CTOS SNA Distribution Services (SNADS) Programming Guide. This project involved developing a programming guide for a product intended to bridge between CTOS (Unisys) and IBM SNA communications environments. Input material was product specification and interviews with engineers. Project was fully managed, and completed using the CTOS word processing system.

BTOS SNA Logical Unit Interface Service (LUIS) Agent Operations and Programming Guide. This project involved creating an operations and programming guide for a product used in bridging between IBM SNA and CTOS (BTOS) environments. Project was fully managed, and completed using the CTOS word processing system.

OFIS Access Professional Installation and Configuration Guide. This project involved creating an installation and configuration guide for a bridging product between the CTOS electronic mail system and IBM PROFS.

OFIS Access SNADS Installation and Configuration Guide. As above, for IBM SNADS.

Message Control System II (MCS II) Programming Reference Manual. This project involved creating a programmers manual for a communications product intended to provide a variety of interfaces to systems including DOS, CTOS and Microsoft Windows. This project was fully managed, and rescued from a situation in which the original documentation project leader had left (and done nothing on the project).

Okidata

Okilaser 400 Documentation Package. This project included creating a user manual, reference, and tips manual for the Okilaser 400 laser printer. Input was from specifications and use. The tips manual was largely a guide to desktop publishing using the product. Manuals were composed using Pagemaker.

Okidata 24 Page–Per–Minute Printer Guide. This project involved creating a guide for a special low volume product built to a specification.

Okidata 320, 360 and 140 printer manuals. These projects involved creating user manuals and reference guides for dot matrix printers. The 360 manual won an award from the Society for Technical Communication (STC).

Hart Systems Limited

Manual Update for Captain Software. The software is designed to handle export paperwork for agricultural products. The project involved reveiwing existing documentation, locating changes and updating manuals.

Accent Computers (now election.com)

Manual Library for ACS Local Government. The software is an Oracle-based software system designed to automate procedures for New Zealand City and District Councils and other government bodies. The system is an integrated series of modules that can be purchased separately or in combination. This project consists of designing a standard library format, gathering information and developing manuals. There are over a dozen modules, and more than five manuals were completed by April, 2000.

Esphion Limited

Quick Start Manual for the Esphion N1000. This manual is for a network device designed to protect against denial of service attacks.

SportCalc

SportCalc for Stage Racing. This manual is for software used to time bicycle races. (BJDTIS project authored on a subcontract basis and managed by BJ Dooley.)

Mooring Systems

Operator and Maintenance Manual for the Quay Sailor 40. These manuals are for an automated ship docking system. (BJDTIS project authored on a subcontract basis and managed by BJ Dooley.)
